		Wet Ophelia
		-------------------------------------------------------

		the red
		having climbed her cheeks
		she scattered herself in petals on the water
		she gathered the huge moon into her sleeve
		then suddenly she put it on her head
		and danced
		on tiptoe
		on the tips of her hair
		in this red
		once golden once holy
		as if possessed by the wind

		she floated fast down the river
		crowded by algea with the straw
		entwined in her clenched fingers

		all white I pulled her from the water
		and all over the roads as luminous fiber
		I hung this hair out to dry
