		The Bottom Line
		------------------------------------------------------

		these are our nights
		scattered
		as stars as suns
		shining stubbornly
		with a light like a tremor
		skewering the dark

		these are our days
		blinded voiceless
		begging on a street corner
		holding out the rags of sleaves
		for handout
		from bird hands

		these are our deaths
		all the same
		stamped rectangularly
		upon the red sides of tenements
		offered to stones
		protected by spells
		lonely
