		Sicily is an island in the Mediterranean Sea
		thus her feet run off lengthwise and cloudily
		through the moonlight
		disquiet lodges in them
		the night dances on tiptoe

		had she loved --

		the suffocated flame
		covered her hair with soot -- now it is darker
		than all the nights not brightened
		by idolatrous whisper

		had she loved --

		with a cat's hungry gaze
		she spies the falling leaves of moments
		as they disappear -- not touching the ground
		stuck to the full moon
		the night blossoms

		niz/ wszystkie noce kto/rych nie rozjas/nil/
		szept bal/wochwalczy

		gdyby kochal/a --

		gl/odnym wzrokiem kota
		s/ledzi opadaja/ce lis/cie chwil
		gdy nie dotykaja/c ziemi -- nikna/
		przylgl/a do pel/ni
		rozkwita noc
