		The Widow
		-------------------------------------------------------

		is she really grieving
		or only crow-like thoughtful
		she wipes the tears with a handkerchief in polka dots
		and when she digs in the suitcase
		with the manuscripts
		her eyes are hard as metal
		wife?
		widow
		she puts an abandoned shirt
		in a drawer with the underwear
		a solid color sweater
		everything
		dead -- nobody needs it
		then -- places flowers
		on a dusted desk
		takes up a plaid bag
		takes her leave
		whispering from the door to the deceased
		"be seeing you"
