		The Roads
		-------------------------------------------------------

		they were only oblong bodies
		waving in the wind
		this was some wind
		captured by the mouth feet hands
		wind in the hair
		in the fingernails
		in the fingers
		they --  black and slick
		wandering upon the night's infinite ladders
		into the triangles of flippers
		grasping eternity
		juggling a star
		oval
		ill-boding
		stuck with an aquamarine sound
		to the meat of gratings
		rammed against iron's body
		pulsating
		throwing off fast soles
		reaching modest heavenly firmaments
		held together in check from flight
		by a shot-down angel's wing
		their mouths held up with their hands
		sad
		when the earth would call them
		from the infinity of motion
		their feet would push against
		the golden-smiling sand
