		Egypt
		-------------------------------------------------------

		What round hips she has -- he would say -- and she
		is narrow in the waist and does not at all smell of
		the pall.  She has the smell of earth -- the yellow
		candles have burned out long ago and the adhering
		waxen drops are a mere clue.  She lay bare-armed
		holding a roll of papyrus.  He touched her with his
		finger -- she did not move -- the slender mouth
		remained pressed shut.
		He nudged her -- slowly she lifted the heavy eyelids --
		let me sleep -- she whispered.  The papyrus rustled.

		zacis/nie/te.
