		An Eastern Fairy Tale
		-------------------------------------------------------

		When Wahiti in tiny yellow sandals snapped off an apple
		and brought it to her blind lover he sinking his teeth
		in the tart fruit asked:  What does an apple look
		like?  And she desired right then to tell him all of it
		and she spoke fast of how she picked the apple that
		it was red off a green tree branch which grew in the
		brownish-golden garden.  A branch coated in yellowing
		leaves and through the leaves the rising sun of fruit.
		He smiled and stroked her cheek.  What is the color of
		your eyes and mouth?  My eyes are red she would say
		and my mouth is of color green...  And your tiny
		sandals are yellow I bought them myself in a store and
		the sales clerk gave assurances that they are nothing
		but yellow.  Therefore you are the garden -- he threw
		away the apple and took her up in his arms balled up
		and trembling.

		Kiedy Wahiti w drobnych z/o/l/tych sandal/kach ze-
		rwal/a jabl/ko i przyniosl/a s/lepemu kochankowi on
		zagl/ebiaja/c ze/by w cierpkim owocu spytal/: jak wy-
		gla/da jabl/ko?  I zapragne/l/a mu powiedziec/ wszystko
		i mo/wil/a pre/dko o tym z/e zerwal/a je czerwone z
		zielonej gal/e/zi drzewa kto/re rosl/o w bra/zowo-
		zl/otym ogrodzie.  Gal/a/z/ pokryta z/o/l/kna/cymi
		lis/c/mi i poprzez lis/cie wschodza/ce sl/on/ce owocu.
		Us/miechna/l/ sie/ i pogl/adzil/ jej policzek.  Jakiego
		koloru sa/ twoje oczy i usta?  Moje oczy sa/ czerwone
		mo/wil/a a usta maja/ barwe/ zielona/...  A sandal/ki
		masz z/o/l/te sam je kupil/em w sklepie i sprzedawca
		zare/czal/ z/e nie sa/ inne a z/o/l/te.  Jestes/ wie/c
		ogrodem -- rzucil/ jabl/ko i wzia/l/ ja/ na re/ce skulona/
		i drz/a/ca/.
