Out of the red hell on a green flame she rose and did
not come back. The devils cried hunched in corners
and Beelzebub gnawed at his wrists in anger.
Musing philosophically Mephistopheles rested his chin
on his caustic hand he would shrug his shoulder.
Beelzebub grided -- the smoke covered the red beds
-- the giggling girls vanished in fiery vapors. Devils
wept openly. Mephistopheles shrugged his shoulder.
When Beelzebub arose from the velvet chair and
stomped his hoof -- the girls froze on the couches.
Well -- said Mephistopheles -- too beautiful -- too
beautiful to have her be damned.
