		Beatrice
		touch your body
		you who are going on the scaffolding
		do you feel
		this grind this grind
		that is the muscles
		strung to the limit
		they ring on slender tendons
		the rhythm the rhythm
		and the legs they go
		one and one
		your mouth
		a chill along the spine
		in the obedient bow of the head
		the bent stalk of your neck
		the smile?

		Beatrice
		your heavy hair
		the wind made it laugh
		the sun lodges
		amidst its live bends

		Beatrice -- the sun
		will remain after you depart
