		hold me with your hand
		in the desert
		huge stars descend
		the moon slithered
		up a narrow brown bole
		a caterpillar --

		the dry wind trampled my mouth
		my mouth
		please stick with your cool hand
		to my lips
		I hollowed the sand with my body
		with my elbow
		my nails I dug
		in the sand
		ah

		we crushed the night
		into a dust of stars
		from our conjoined bodies
		the fruit of the sun
		became born
		to be put out
